Bugaboo Bee Almond Blossom
By Creative agency Staat Amsterdam I was commissioned to shoot the images for the Bugaboo x Van Gogh Museum collaboration. The starting point for the Bugaboo + Van Gogh Collection is the bold, bright, and beautiful Almond Blossom painting, influenced by the master’s time in Paris where he first came in contact with Japanese prints. It represents new life and new beginnings, the perfect fit for the Bugaboo Bee and returns as a prominent element in this shoot.
For Wallpaper Magazine I shot the interior of Rotterdam’s Ballroom, fitted out by young design office Instability We Trust with a blend of prismatic patterns, mirrored cubes and pink flamingo’s.
Part of a story about the steady revival of Gin & Tonic.
Inspired by a growing market of online purchases, products are delivered in wide variety of packaging materials. These materials form the foundation of a photo-series about interior products of Dutch designers. These packaging materials are both beautiful and thankful to create a new setting which is unpredictable cause of the shapeless nature, in the midst of uncovering. Surprising settings are the result. The logic of the materials is preserved, it is about the protective nature in a rough environment.
For Leen Heyne Fine Jewelry I shot the collection of unique and beautifully handcrafted rings and bangles. Take a look at his clean and minimal designed website. http://leenheyne.nl

Until october 26 in Foam Amsterdam Still/Life
This year, Foam celebrates its tenth anniversary. Just as the exhibition Foam opened with in 2001, Dutch Delight, Still-Life is a group exhibition with an art historical theme. Foam again presents work by Dutch photographers, this time still life, a collection of unanimated objects, being the central theme.
participating photographers: Melanie Bonajo, Kim Boske, Blommers & Schumm, Elspeth Diederix, Fleur van Dodewaard, Uta Eisenreich, Peggy Franck, Marnix Goossens, Eva-Fiore Kovacovsky, Paul Kooiker, Anouk Kruithof, Yvonne Lacet, Lernert & Sander, Charlott Markus, Katja Mater, Krista van der Niet, Jaap Scheeren & Hans Gremmen, Scheltens & Abbenes, Diana Scherer, Johannes Schwartz, Ingmar Swalue, Marianne Vierø, Anne de Vries and Qiu Yang.
Ingmar Swalue shot a video for Wallpaper about Ryan Gander’s collaboration with G-Star. Gander added discreet white embroidery, like drips of paint, to 30 pairs of its classic Arc Loose Tapered jeans, as well as a little Japanese figurine on a keyring. The jeans will be distributed without fanfare and at random to G-Star stockists worldwide. The black & white video contains an interview with Gander as well as the embroidery process. Chester-born Ryan Gander is a conceptual artist whose sculpture, installations, photography and books are crammed with playful, inexplicable puzzles, cultural juxtapositions and multiple realities.

For the first solo exhibition of fashion designer Monique van Heist FASHIONWITHMONIQUE Ingmar Swalue produced a large print of 4.00 x 8.50 metres. The image, a panorama, depicts the working space of Van Heist. The exhibition tells her story in several stages: in three large galleries we see her inspiration, the design process and her finished products. FASHIONWITHMONIQUE runs from 10 April – 24 October at the Zeeuws Museum in Middelburg.
Double Infinity, a joint initiative by the Van Abbemuseum and Arthub Asia, opened April 29th at the Dutch Culture Centre in Shanghai, parallel to the World Expo 2010. Double Infinity is a collaborative encounter and comprises of an exhibition, a performance series, a lecture programme and a publication. It marks the first time that a European museum opens itself and its collection to the responses of artists living and working in China – responses that form a host of enriching, humorous and critical insights.
The publication, designed by Joost Grootens, seeks to map a world of crossovers and collisions between art and urban design starting from both Eindhoven and Shanghai. Through photographic essays Jiang Jun and Solar photographer Ingmar Swalue conceptually and aesthetically locate these strange but close sites for comparison.
